Late 16th C Polychromed wooden sculpture of Christ with the Crown of Thorns. Sitting on the cold stone with his hands crossed in his lap, the moment after the calvary and immediately before the crucifixion. Soft and tender face, the eyes downcast; his whole attitude and expression fully accept what will happen next—minor losses and traces of xylophage. No restorations and beautiful patina.
