Toucans belong to the class of the woodpeckers. Their natural habitat is the rainforests of Central and South America. Toucans are notable for their brightly colored prominent beak. The hollow beak of this bird species can be up to 23 cm long! The slightly curved tip of the upper beak allows the toucan to clamp the fruits, insects and seeds well. Toucans have ten tail feathers that are quite short and straight in shape. The arassaris’ (= small toucans) tail is slightly longer and wedge-shaped. The chest of the toucans is brightly colored and contrasts nicely with the black back feathers. The arassaris, on the other hand, have colorful plumage.

Species preconvention 01/06/1947 can be commercialised in accordance with rule n°338/97 CE dated 09/12/1996.
