Extraordinary Chimera Composition under Glass Globe
The chimaera is composed with parts and bones of beetles, butterflies and various other insects and looks like a figure from the Greek mythology. It is formed out of a wide variety of butterfly wings, which all have the same color-scheme, orange, brown, and red with accents of dark brown and black. The body of the creature is made of a beetle’s body and the face is of an insect. The chimera has short, very skinny arms and legs which belong to an insect as well. According to Greek mythology a Chimera, also known as Chimaera, was a monstrous fire-breathing hybrid creature of Lycia in Asia Minor, composed of the parts of more than one animal. The term “chimera” has come to describe any mythical or fictional animal with parts taken from various animals or to describe anything composed of very disparate parts or perceived as wildly imaginative, implausible or dazzling.
